Digital snapshot: The do’s and don’ts of ChatGPT

Everyone’s buzzing about the AI chatbot ChatGPT.

It’s an awesome free tool, but here are a few things to keep an eye out for.

DO

  • Need to check your emails and letters? Sending an important email to a client or business partner? Give ChatGPT a go to draft and review your content. Get the chatbot to tweak your email and spot any errors.
  • Use it as a research tool: ChatGPT is a super-smart artificial brain. Use it to your advantage by shooting it questions. It should be able to assist you with research in any field — just remember to double-check everything.
  • Use it for brainstorming: AI is ace at generating ideas (not all of them are winners!). If you’re stuck for inspiration for a new venture, product, or service, ask ChatGPT to throw out some suggestions. It should help kickstart your creativity.

Don’t:

  • Depend on it completely: ChatGPT is awesome, but it’s not foolproof. The AI can still get mixed up and provide inaccurate info. Double-check everything.
  • Avoid plagiarism: Maintain your brand voice and personal touch instead of just copying from ChatGPT. Remember, your competitors also have this tool.
  • Keep sensitive info to yourself: There are worries about copyright and how ChatGPT uses data. Avoid sharing private business info, personal data, or confidential details with it.

It’s always good to give new technology a try. Experiment with ChatGPT to see if it can help your business.
